After Governor Sarah Palin’s interview with Fox News’ Eric Bolling on the eve of the Iowa Caucus, I did a segment on my show where I stated that I will not be participating in any Sarah Palin reconsider or “earthquake” movements from now on. If you missed that segment you may listen here. I took some flak for it. Who cares. I believe after Palin’s interview with Bolling on Monday, she wasn’t reconsidering at this time.

Granted, she then went on Cavuto the next day and was asked a very direct question. Cavuto asked Palin if the GOP frontrunner starts to fall by the way side months from now and chaos ensues, would she reconsider? Palin didn’t rule it out. Yes, she did claim that “others” could get in. Whether or not she is including herself in the “others” category—your guess is as good as mine.

After October 5^th, 2011 when Palin first said no to a presidential run, there was no one more disappointed than ole Mr.L. I was one of the first people to say, if the establishment can ask Chris Christie to change his mind, then tea party conservatives could do the same to Palin. The view from here says, she doesn’t want to do this at this time. And if there is some secret plan for Sarah Palin to get in this race late, she would want to keep it just that—a secret. The best thing we should do for her is be quiet. Going around beating people over the head trying to convince them she’s reconsidering, when that might not be the case, could be counter productive. In short, she knows we’re out there. The less media attention that she gets about this the better. If Palin is planning to open the Bombay doors at the last minute, she doesn’t need her supporters blowing her cover.

In the meantime, make no mistake—my support for Sarah Palin isn’t going to fizzle out. She is still a young, experienced, capable, determined, strong conservative woman with a long life and career ahead of her. So what’s next for the Alaskan iron lady?

There are several options. Of course, the one I just mentioned. She could be quietly playing possum and listening to advisers who are telling her to opt out of the traditional path to the nomination and create one that best suits her. When Palin states that she’s an “unconventional” type individual, she may mean that she is subjected to different treatment from either the media, the left, or the GOP establishment. Other candidates do not have to endure such treatment and attention, so perhaps a strategy of flying under the radar—then shock and awe—may be best. By the way, if you think a late entry is ridiculous, several pundits have been discussing it for the past month now. Just last night while covering the Iowa Caucus, Beltway commentators Kristol, Caddell & Hayes discussed a possible Palin late entry. So, it’s not a bunch of random kooks running around out there pushing this notion.

If this doesn’t happen, Gov. Sarah Palin could be tapped to head a governmental agency, for example, Department of Energy or Natural Resources. Newt Gingrich has floated this idea around if he were to become the nominee and win the presidency. He appeared on the Kevin Scholla show last fall and said he would love to “turn Sarah Palin loose in Washington.” Clearly, she has proven herself as someone who brought change and championed reform in her home state of Alaska when she took on her own party and exposed corruption as Alaskan Energy Commissioner. She took on Big Oil and got them to get off their asses and the drilling leases they sat on for decades. Her administration put the necessary pressure on the oil companies forcing them to finally begin drilling at Prudhoe Bay.

The energy crisis we face in the United States is a real one. People need to stop listening to the paranoid, irrational, enviro-zealots and comprehend how important it is for the US to become the leader in energy production in the world. America’s energy needs can rely on certain countries for only so long. Sure, we can rely on our friendly Canadian neighbors and, to some extent, Saudi Arabia. But should Canada become tapped out or limits their harvesting of energy resources and Saudi Arabia becomes unstable due to the so called “Arab Spring”—we’re screwed! We will then have to rely on hostile countries and Banana Republics in Africa and Venezuela. Sarah Palin understands this which is why she’d be the perfect person for the job. Admit it—watching Palin spar with Democrats over energy policy in a televised confirmation hearing would rock.

There are all kinds of pros and cons if such a scenario plays out. If Palin would accept such an offer with the correct Republican administration, it would put her smack dab in the middle of the Beltway. She would be able get to know exactly who the trouble makers are and who is standing in the way of American energy independence. If she could affect positive change in such a bureaucracy, it would certainly add to the long list of her accomplishments. On the other hand, handling such a bureaucracy could be a daunting task—dealing with Beltway snobs who would refuse to work with her because she’s Sarah Palin, traveling to and from Alaska, the size and scope of the problems within the agency could be daunting. Also, it may hurt her outsider status if she becomes part of the Washington elite.

There's also the possibility that she gets picked to run for Vice President again. After Sarah Palin’s October 5^th, 2011 announcement that she would not seek the presidency on the Mark Levin show, I wasn’t warm to the idea of another Palin VP run. However, I’m starting to warm up to the idea. I know some Palinites believe this would be a mistake. Some tend to go Greta Garbo on you when you mention it—the drama the opera-tics of, “NO! NOT! NEVER ! She shall never do this again! I learned from following politics is—you never say never. When Eric Bolling asked Sarah Palin on Monday that her name was being tossed around by Newt Gingrich and other frontrunners to foot the bill, she didn’t shoot down the idea. She stated firmly that it is way too early to be thinking about that now. She’s right.

However, the Republican Party establishment and the press are thinking about this right now. As usual, the GOP continues to solidify their reputation as the stupid party by throwing out names like Governor Nikki Haley and Senator Marco Rubio. Considering Haley may mean they would try and capture the Palin magic of 2008, just without Palin. Ain’t going to happen. Haley is not Sarah Palin. And Haley could not get elected as Governor of South Carolina without support from Sarah Palin and the tea party. She then repaid tea party conservatives by foolishly endorsing establishment candidate Mitt Romney.

While I like Sen. Marco Rubio, he’s stated that he wants nothing to do with being on the ticket. While he’s a great speaker, he’s virtually done nothing in his short time as a Florida Senator. Choosing Rubio, or someone like him, could mean that the GOP will desperately pander to the Latino vote. One psychotic idea that some Republicans are considering is adding the Governor of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and President of the PR Progressive Party, Luis Fortuno, on the ticket. Early in December I explained why this would be a disaster in a segment titled “Is The GOP Too Dumb To Live?”

The jury is still out on that one.

The process of picking the Vice President has changed throughout the years. Years ago, the party leaders would huddle and pick the candidate. Today, the decision is left solely up to the nominee and his advisers. Many believe this is no way to pick the person who is next in line and that the Vice Presidential candidate should be elected by the delegates at the convention.

Many who shun the idea of wasting Sarah Palin’s talents on the Vice Presidency—again, I was one of them—believe as former VP under FDR John Nance once did that the post “was not worth a bucket of warm spit.” However, history has proven Nance wrong as a total of fourteen vice presidents have assumed the presidency via death of a sitting president or getting elected on their own merit. Yes, many vice presidents—Spiro Agnew, Al Gore and Dan Quayle—were disasters and failed to make the jump to the top spot. Others like Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman and Lyndon Johnson successfully used it as a stepping stone into the Oval Office. And while Vice President Dick Cheney was certainly too old and of poor health to successfully run against Barack Obama in 2008, it can be said that he was one of the most hands on Vice Presidents in American history.

I have no doubt that Governor Sarah Palin would be a hands on and trans-formative Vice President if she accepted the offer from—let’s say for arguments sake—Newt Gingrich, if he should become the Republican nominee. Any potential nominee would be foolish to not offer it to her. Sarah Palin is a national political figure who has been vetted six ways to Sunday. There are no more rocks for the media to turn over. She has clearly immersed herself in policy, foreign and domestic, and has been ahead of the curve when discussing major issues facing America today. I would love to see her, after four years of sharpening her daggers, face off against the bungling Biden in a debate once more. Palin was one of the first people to acknowledge and support the Tea Party and, in many respects, has become it’s de facto leader. Her track record for getting tea party conservatives elected to the House in 2010, shown in the image below, is stellar. Even the mainstream media had to admit it. Having Palin on the ticket would no doubt ease the minds of a conservative and RINO weary electorate who may not like the nominee, but trust Palin’s conservative convictions and tea party bonafides.

While many challenged political thinkers, liberals and Palin hating boobs still like to push the narrative that Sarah Palin cost John McCain the presidency, it’s clear from the graphic provided below that this was not the case. As a series of snapshots taken from the documentary “The Undefeated” show the Gallup organization polling and how the McCain campaign got a clear boost when Palin fever caught fire in the fall of 2008. Only until McCain shown himself to be inadequate in winning the messaging war during the financial crisis did his lead plummet. McCain campaign head Steve Schmidt even admitted that McCain’s loss would’ve been much worse had they picked the independently liberal Sen. Joe Liberman or moderate Governor Tim Pawlenty.

The real question is: would Gov. Palin accept such an offer again? Financially, it would make sense to join the ticket. She wouldn’t have to worry raising money to enter the White House. These costs would be covered by donors and the RNC. Although, I highly doubt she would relish the idea of once again being told what to do, what to say, how to dress by campaign hacks much like Nicole Wallace. As Newt Gingrich so astutely mentioned in a radio interview last fall, the McCain campaign was “stupid” when they failed to present Palin to America for what she was—a trailblazing leader with a track record of reform in the state of Alaska. I agree and if she accepted the offer, I’m almost certain that the Palins would be laying some ground rules down. Simply, the campaign would have to let Palin be Palin.

In many ways, accepting another VP candidacy could be the most sensible path to the presidency. Of course, running for president in the future would rely on her performance as VP, the strength of the administration and a positive record of getting the country on the right track. The flip-side could be, if the presidential candidate she’s running with proves himself to be indecisive and fails to beat Obama then—no doubt—like in 2008, Palin would get the blame. Such a scenario would be damaging to her reputation.

With that said, Sarah Palin may decide to simply make some popcorn, sit back and watch the republicans trip over themselves without her assistance. Or, she could just keep doing what she’s doing. In several Fox News appearances, several of her political predictions came to fruition. She could remain a political commentator, write and sell another book, and do more public speaking. Just today she was picked to be the key note speaker and will close out the ceremonies at CPAC 2012.

Like any other modern presidential campaign, this one is rife with candidates trying to attach themselves to Ronald Reagan’s legacy. It should be noted that Reagan advertised for GE, traversed the country spreading his message of conservatism, worked to get candidates elected, raised money for the Republican Party for years before he ran for the highest office of the land. She has ample time to do just this. Perhaps, her message against crony capitalism and pro energy independence needs to be beaten over the head of every American until they finally get it and understand who the right person is to implement these ideas.

Also, her plan to help save the House and retake the Senate as insurance against a possible Barack Obama second term is an option. I firmly believe that, with a solid Republican holding in both the House and Senate, Obama will be totally vulnerable to impeachment for his high crimes and misdemeanors should he win another term.

Whatever the case may be, I look forward to the future of the Alaskan iron lady.

Back again and continuing to practice the art of how to lose friends and distance myself from people. Some of you aren’t going to like this, some of you may. Some might not even care. But I feel like I need to talk about it. Get it off my chest. I’ve been wanting to do this and address this for a long time, probably going back since May 2011. And even as far back as 2008, during the campaign season.

I have this segment transcribed.

When I was done with recording it I had a friend who is a fast typist listen to it and quickly transcribed it for me simply because I want this to be on record in written word as well as spoken word. Which is, something that I don’t do for any of my segments. And there will also be pictures and audio featured in that at my blog at mrltavern.blogspot.com And you can read the transcript there.

What I’m going to talk about is a popular radio talk show host Michael Savage, who apparently is the third largest talk show host in the nation, he says anyway, yet he continues to get dropped from affiliate after affiliate. I know what some of you will say and have said to me any time that I’ve come out against this host, they’ve said, “Michael Savage? Why are you wasting your time listening to him.” Or “he’s still on the radio? Haven’t listened to him in years.” Or “I stopped listening to him a long time ago. Or my favorite, I stopped listening to him a long time ago, the man literally depresses me, every time I listen to him.”

Well, yes, I agree with that. I certainly have been a happier more upbeat person since I stopped listening to him completely in May. But I have scanned through his show quickly over the months when people post the show in segments on Youtube, just to get a handle on which way his wind is shifting. But I cannot listen to the show on the radio and anytime I’ve basically tried to come back as a listener I had to turn to turn him off.

But yes, I used to listen frequently. I started back in 2004 or 2005 whenever it was when he finally got syndicated to the New York market on WOR. I was familiar with him only because of his short lived show on MSNBC. I even got compared to him and sometimes still on several occasions, which is ok. I may remind people of him only because I have a similar deep voice and accent only due to the fact that I’m from the same area of New York that he is.

But yeah, lately I don’t like the comparison. Because, what he does and I do are not the same thing. I don’t like talking about my pets or what dinner I had last night or how tomato soup smells in a cafeteria. No. The reason that I’m finally talking about this, I was on Facebook one evening and in this news and politics group that I belong to and I posted my past segments on Herman Cain. And I had two lunatics really coming at me that they didn’t like that fact that I don’t buy into Herman Cain and I’m brave enough to do the proper vetting of the man, who I believe is a huckster fraud, which if you don’t want to address the fact that the man isn’t ready for prime time when other prominent conservatives are doing so, it’s simply downright dangerous and I can’t help you.

But one of these nuts who accused me of slandering and mudslinging, turns around and then accuses me of “trying to sound like Dr. Savage.” So I remembered in another segment I posted about Cain a day before, he was in there and he was claiming that this is what they did to Sarah Palin and that he was originally a Palin supporter. And so he’s a Palin supporter and he listens to Michael Savage. Which is very interesting.

And it proves to me how some of these dolts are misinformed and who they think are good conservatives. Here’s this ding a ling comparing me to Savage, listens to Savage and claims to be a Palin supporter but isn’t aware that Michael Savage has to be the premiere basher of Sarah Palin for the past 4 years ever since she was thrust onto the national stage in 2008. And it’s really one of the main reasons I stopped listening to Savage and will never listen to him ever again. I believe the last time I listened to him was when Palin began the road trip in May. He got on the air Monday and claimed “Is Sarah Palin the Paris Hilton of politics?” Goodbye. Talk about acting like those on the left. This man has hurled insults at her that, in ways, are worse or on the same level of the attacks coming at her from the left.

And again, like I said in one of my segments about Cain, don’t compare what Cain is going through what Palin has gone through with the media. What Cain is going through isn’t slander, Cain and his campaign have brought this on themselves. Slander is when mainstream media supported bloggers claim that you’re child isn’t your own. That’s slander.

Don’t believe me? This all started the week when John McCain picked Palin to be his VP. Savage came on the radio that week and relentlessly attacked her and her family. He called them white trash. He said they looked like a family from the TV show Cops. He said things that sounded like it was coming from MSNBC or Mother Jones.

I wrote a blog about it at the time which I linked up on my blog. Again, if you’re listening to this on YouTube, there’s a transcript of this in the blog. You can read the blog I posted on September 8 2008 called “Michael Savage Needs To Stop Eating Bad Curry.” I pointed this all out there. I said there that the rumors that have surrounded Palin have been just that rumors and probably created by organizations like MoveOn.org and Media Matters who, ironically, are the same organizations that tried to ruin Savage’s career.

The worst thing he did in my opinion, downright ignorant in fact and extremely left wing on the part of Savage. On his website that week, Savage gladly posted this picture, which turned out to be a fake, of Sarah Palin in a mini-dress. And you can see the shot they took here, where Palin’s head was photo obviously photo shopped from this photo and put on to some unknown body.

This photo was quickly exposed an obvious fake a day later. Democrat Underground posted it was a fake after they had their fun with it. But for Savage, the fun didn’t end and he disgracefully allowed that photo to remain on his website as the real deal for five days. Okay?

After that I stopped listening until well after the 2008 election. He had a book out that I had pre ordered and I cancelled the order. And I’ll never by another one of his books again. I suggest that if you are a Palin supporter, you won’t either. And if you do listen to his show and didn’t know this, you should turn him off. I understand that the fiction book that he constantly promotes on his show tanked. Yes, it debuted high on the NY Times bestseller list but then the next week it slipped right off. He makes me sick because he uses conservatives to buy books and he states “Oh you have to buy my book to show the liberals that conservatives read and drive the market.” Go pound sand. Go on a boat ride with Teddy in the Bermuda triangle.

It’s funny in one of those clips of Savage bashing Palin that I included in the transcript of this segment, he makes the comment that when the electorate gets emotional and elects an unqualified, making the comparison that Palin is as unqualified as Obama, meanwhile, just before I stopped listening to him he did a show. It had to be right around the Japanese earthquake. He had a caller who was talking to him about energy independence and whackjob environmentalists who continue to allow us to be held hostage to hostile nations over energy needs. And here’s the great Dr. Savage, talking about how much oil and gas there is in Alaska and how we have to tap into it and why don’t we tap into it. I’m sitting there laughing going, you dope! You’ve been trashing and calling unqualified the very woman who got the transcontinental pipeline on Pt. Thomson moving again after the oil companies sat on the leases for decades. She did it in 18 months. What a jerk off.

Now make no mistake, the man is talented and at times brilliant when exposing the radical aspects of Islam, talking about global warming, or how Obama was influenced by the Frankfurt Marcusi school. I remember he did a great psychological profile of Obama and his mother’s relationship. But he’s far from consistent. And I did turn him back on a few times in Winter of 2010. And as Sarah Palin traversed around the country helping to get conservatives and Tea Party candidates elected that year, here he was again. He opened a show playing Tammy Wynette’s “Stand By Your Man” calling her Dolly Parton and was accusing Palin of trying to co apt the tea party and ripping her in his usual elitist fashion, you know, the only way a former liberal could, calling her and her family white trash and that the Palins resemble a family on the show Cops. And so I stopped listening again. I would only tune in every now and then and, like I said, I turned him off for a final time in May when he called Palin the Paris Hilton of politics and I don’t plan on listening any time soon.

But I find it interesting how in one of those clips of Savage bashing Palin where he claims that another unqualified getting into the White House would be dangerous and yet he’s now backing Herman Cain. And it’s interesting that he would accuse Palin of trying to co-apt the Tea Party back then and now backs Herman Cain. At least Palin was out there from the beginning and actually helping conservatives win elections and not doing it for any other reason but trying to make a difference in the legislative branch but now Savage backs Cain, who helped no conservative win elections in the 2010 race, his endorsement meant nothing to anyone and now Cain is using the Tea Party for his own personal gain. And my prediction is this: If Herman Cain gets the nomination and should go on to win the White House, it will be done because of Tea Party momentum and only that and once he gets in he will turn his back on the Tea Party. Mark my words.

Oh and make no mistake, the only reason he’s backing Herman Cain is because Cain went on his show. If Mitt Romney were to go on the Savage Nation tomorrow, Savage would throw his support to Romney. People forget that Savage was pro-Romney at one point. And up until I stopped listening to Savage in May, he was saying that Romney is the most qualified to beat Obama.

So the only thing Savage goes by really, when vetting a candidate is concerned, is that they come on his show. If they don’t he’ll bash them. Or he’ll get them on his show just to get their followers to listen in. Like he did with Ron Paul. Now, I hate Ron Paul with a passion. But when I heard that he had Ron Paul on his show, I had a shit eating grin from ear to ear because I realized right then and there that Savage had jumped the shark. Here’s a guy like Savage, Jewish, pro Israel. He’s against Palestinians trying to get the land and all of that. He’s trying to get Ron Paul supporters to listen to his show and his supporters are some of the most anti Jewish anti Israel on the planet. Real shame he had this guy on because I thought Savage kept repeating that Paul was unelectable, which I happen to agree with. Then has the guy on his show to help promote him running for president. And you had all of these Paul bots running around the internet “Ron Paul on the Savage Nation” thinking that Savage liked Paul. Typical of Paul bots. When someone like Savage says one thing nice about Paul and they’re promoting him. Next thing you know, Savage saying Paul looks like a baker. Two weeks later. And then all the Paul bots call Savage a neo con again. Too funny. It’s really sick.

But he’s done this with all the candidates. I took note of his August 15^th or 16^th show, he was going over all the candidates. He was originally supporting Michelle Bachmann. Oh yeah, once Bachmann got a little high in the polls, he was singing her praises. I remember that was around May when I stopped listening to him. He was saying Bachmann’s the one, she can win and “You Betcha” is finished. Of course, he meant Palin. Months later Bachmann stopped coming on his show and that was it. He then took credit for her falling poll numbers.

He backed Trump too because Trump came on his show. Completely ignored Trump’s Democrat past, the money he donated to Democrats, thoughts on universal health care earlier. Trump stopped coming on Savage’s show and not taking his advice and Trump was finished.

So Savage supported another flavor of the month Rick Perry. Rick Perry had been on his show a few times. You know, again, it’s about consistency and Savage doesn’t have it. One of Michael Savage’s calling cards was the fact that he knew about the illegal immigration issue more than any other talk show host in America. Knowledge of illegal immigration as an epidemic in this country got him into radio. And yet, he backs Rick Perry a man with a pretty bad record on illegal immigration. Among other things. But this is who Savage is. All a candidate has to do to get him and his crazy listeners to support any of them is go on his show! Look the part, have the right hair, speak a certain way. Savage is no different from Ann Coulter, Erick Erickson or Bill O’Reilly or anyone of these elitist Beltway pundits. Oh, I believe Perry had made him an honorary admiral in Texas Navy I believe. I think he even sent him a hat. Whoa. I guess Savage is a cheap date. All it took was a hat to get an endorsement.

Don’t forget, over and over again and throughout the years, Savage has claimed that George W. Bush stole the idea of compassionate conservatism from him. Now this makes no sense. Why would a man like Savage want that known? Savage constantly has said since the rise of the Tea Party that he was the “first tea partier” and the real tea party conservative and yet, he says he created the RINO idea of Bush and McCain conservatism which led to Obama? Again, he makes no sense. Go to a Tea Party meeting today and start talking compassionate conservatism and see what happens to you.

There are so many contradictions, inconsistencies and flip flops about this guy it’s really comical. I was once listening to him in 2009, turned him on briefly one night while I was in the car and he was talking about elections and he was calling swing voters idiots. I laughed to myself. Swing voters are independents and isn’t that what he prides himself on being. He repeats it over and over “I’m and independent conservative.”

To show and prove how much he’s all over the place, there’s someone on YouTube that when I was doing my research on Savage for this segment, I was looking for a clip from one of his shows. I actually decided not to include audio clips from his show and so I found the Palin bashing clips and posted them at the blog with the transcript to this because I understand that Savage has some of his producers or staff report some of these YouTube channels that post his material. But I came across these two that are really bad. This person posted two video presentations one called, and these are embedded in the blog to this segment transcript, one is called

And watching these two clips I was blown away at how all over the place Savage really is. I mean you check them out decide for yourself. In one, he’s calling Bill Clinton a fiscal conservative. He calls Obama a centrist one night, the next a full blown Marxist trying to flame out the country. It’s insane. Saying that Scott Brown is presidential material, he did nothing. Brown was nothing but a state alderman. But Palin was unqualified. He didn’t even acknowledge her 20+ political career ever. And then he turns out to be a disappointment and a fake, he turns on Brown and takes it out on his audience. He chastises his audience in his clip and saying that his audience by making Scott Brown a conservative savior. But it was Savage so early on who was saying that Brown was a viable conservative presidential candidate. It’s hysterical how ridiculous and all over the place this guy has become.

Maybe it’s insecurity? I mean he’s constant badgering and bashing other conservative talk show hosts, his competition. This one steals from me, I said this first, this one sounds like my grandmother with a hysterectomy. This one is fake. Rush is a shill for the Republican party.

He has even-- when the Anthony Weiner scandal happened and Brietbart broke the photo against one of the most shameful, atrocious, hack congressman Anthony Weiner, savage took Weiner’s side. Oh yeah I remember that. He claimed that Breitbart was doing entrapment against Weiner. Meanwhile, Weiner thought he had Breitbart in a defamation suit until Breitbart got the incriminating photo of Weiner.

I have listened to other talkers and radio fans that say he’s pretty much just phoning it in at this point. And that every other night he’s not there and has a fill in to do his show. He usually has that quack Jeff Kuhner another Palin basher fill in. It’s funny I had the power go out we had a freak storm here in New York around Halloween so I was listening to a lot of radio. And I just so happened to tune to WOR at around 6:30pm and he wasn’t even on and they were playing the News with Brian Williams from NBC. He also had three hours here in New York. Then they cut him down to two hours and now that liberal Mike Smerconish takes his third hour spot. And that tells me that people are starting to tire of it. It’s not just me. Callers have had enough with being cut off in mid-sentence. God forbid you call and ask the guy how he’s doing. Listen at the 55 second mark. I have a clip of that in the blog as well. He’s like a hothouse flower. His ratings have gone down. And he says they go up but I say to that prove it. Let’s see the Arbitron books and what your numbers are. Especially now that you have real competition with Levin over the past couple of years from 6-9pm.

You know the guy’s like what 75 years old? He’s had 16 good years. Maybe he should retire. I mean if you have people saying that you sound like you really don’t want to be doing it anymore, and you’re jealous of everyone, hey, step down! You made your mark and your money. You could still write books. Get out of radio if you don’t love it anymore. Let others take the reins. So I think like on the show I heard when he was trashing most of the GOP candidates, again, it was either the August 15 or 16^th show, he was quoting a poet and referring to the candidates there’s a time when you have to know when to leave the stage. I’d say that rule applies to you Savage also. Perhaps it’s that time that you leave the stage and talk radio.

To the Herman Cain supporters who are flouting this blog as a credible source to stop the hemorrhaging of the continuous sexual allegations, you are doing your candidate a disservice. Read here. First, let’s start with the obvious. It’s not a credible source. It’s not even a credible blog. I’ve surfed and combed the conservative blog sphere for years and I’ve never heard of it. The person who wrote it has no identity or familiar blogger surname. Therefore,it cannot be held to the standards as other popular well established blogs such as Hot Air, Breibart and American Thinker.

For about a week since the first female unknown who accused Cain of sexual harassment, I have been hearing repeatedly from Cain enablers that the accusers haven't “come forward”. Well, one of them has come forward. What she is accusing Cain of isn’t sexual harassment. She’s accusing Cain of flat out sexual assault. So we now have a woman who comes forward to put a face and name with her allegations, and here we have Herman Cain enablers telling us about an “unnamed private investigator” who makes these counter allegations against Sharon Bialek. To anyone who isn’t paying attention, the fine writers over at Divided States referred to her, albeit accidentally, as Sharon Cain.

So am I reading this right? The Cain enablers who were calling for the accusers to step forward are now countering her claim with an unnamed, faceless private investigator? Does this seem a little hypocritical to you? And, you’re telling me that a private investigator had all this information on this woman just a few hours after this press conference?

My question to the Cain enablers is, when will you wake up? Perhaps when the 5th, 6th, 7th etc., accuser has come forward. If you are okay with doing so, I say, congratulations! You now have your very own Bill Clinton, except he's got an (R) next to his name.

Also, this unnamed private investigator claims Bialek is a Democrat operative. Breitbart--Big Journalism revealed this evening that Bialek is a registered Republican. Breitbart also has witnesses who saw her at the Tea Party in question where Cain was the guest speaker. I guess we should start calling the Breitbart organization a bunch of liberals and part of a left wing conspiracy to take down Herman Cain?

These Cain enablers certainly have a problem with blaming others for their candidate’s short comings. Simply, if you challenge some of them they parrot Cain’s campaign who directs everyone to “stay on the issues.” Ask them why would Cain make such a mistake to reveal he didn’t know that China had nuclear weapons since 1964, and you will be accused of not knowing what his “999” plan is all about. It seems every answer lately coming from Cain and his supporters is 999.

Q: Why didn’t Cain know that about China? A: 999. Why did Cain shift his position on abortion? A: 999 Q: Do you think a conservative black should stoop so low to play the race card? A: 999

You get the picture. This blog entry being used by Cain supporters as fact also includes a Cain campaign statement released just after Sharon Bialek’s press conference. They say: “Cain campaign All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false. Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone. Fortunately the American people will not allow Mr. Cain’s bold “9-9-9 Plan”, clear foreign policy vision and plans for energy independence to be overshadowed by these bogus attacks.”

Excuse me? “Clear foreign policy vision?” Where? Where has Cain expressed a clear, OR even competent foreign policy vision? Also, the energy independence ideas that Cain plans to roll out will, no doubt, come from the Palin playbook as many of these candidates have had a problem coming up with their own ideas and who always seemed—one way or the other—like school children cheating on a test by looking at Palin’s answers.

I found it odd that Herman Cain agreed to do a debate with Newt Gingrich. Until I found out foreign policy was to be left out of the debate. He cannot keep ducking, bobbing and weaving. Cain has had months and months to become sharp as a tack on all issues, to mount a strong organization in order to win primaries and cease from putting his foot in his mouth. But he hasn’t.

Perhaps his candidacy is what I believed it to be all along—nothing more than a PR stunt to sell books and boost his national profile. Worse, he possibly made a back room deal with the national GOP to be a Tea Party candidate and has agreed to drop out at the end, throwing it to Romney in order to earn either a VP or cabinet position.

Bottom line, if Herman Cain would’ve been held up to the Palin standard for vetting presidential candidates, he would’ve been out of business a long time ago. Further, the only reason (not the race card) why Herman Cain was able to get any traction in this campaign is because Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and Paul Ryan declined to run.

There comes a time where 999 isn’t enough and isn’t the answer for everything.

Frankly, I pray to God Sarah Palin reconsiders.

Currently, I’m reading Ron Suskind’s new book Confidence Men: Washington, Wall Street and the Education of a President. It is an eye opening story of the campaign to elect Barack Obama and the first three years of his presidency. Many books like this have been written about previous administrations, as you may recall the Bob Woodward trilogy during the Bush years. The book received the most publicity when the media picked up on the parts depicting Obama and many of his male cronies showing hostility towards women in his administration. It also highlights how the monstrous ObamaCare bill was conceived, deliberated and rammed through Congress. A move that led to the revival of the conservative movement and the birth of the Tea Party. Finally, it shows Obama’s incompetence, arrogance and downright dubiousness reminding us all what is at stake for this country if this man and his minions are allowed another four years.

One part of the book stood out. It was in a chapter called “Filling the Void” and it is relevant to what is going on today with the leftist Occupy Wall Street movement. When I read this, it spoke to me because it’s basically everything I want to say and more to these miscreants in this nation who call themselves “the 99%.” What the hell is that anyway? Do they even know? I saw an image on Facebook today and it pretty much sums it up:

That’s right. If these morons actually woke up to the fact that, the 1% is sitting in the White House and walking the halls of Congress and compounds of government, they would have the right message. That’s the message of Tea Party. It’s very simple: shrink government and/or limit its ability to do mischief. Remember the old saying, first do no harm. Until we get politicians and technocrats in the halls of government who really believe this—America is screwed. We will continue down the primrose path to fiscal insolvency and will become a third world nation.

Do I think corporate executives are angels? Do I think the various and sundry Goldman Sachs barons should get off scot-free? NO! I’m a Palinite. I think crony capitalism (big government + big corporate + special interests = average American gets bent over) is the single most important issue of our time. But why is the left’s answer to everything have to be “tax the rich! Bring down the banks! Bring it all down girl! Hey, hey—ho, ho! Redistribute the wealth!” There are very practical measures that could be taken and laws could be passed to curtail financial deviants from causing chaos in the markets—ie, ending OTC and credit default swaps, bringing back the Glass Steagall Act and the uptick rule. We don’t have get hysterical.

Lastly, I’m sick of burn outs in the liberal media, DNC and the king of all burnouts, Barack Hussein Obama, trying to compare OccupukeWall Street to the Tea Party. Please--you couldn’t shine the Tea Party and conservative spirit of America’s shoes. Tea Parties had hardly any violence at all, unless of course Obama’s SEIU union thugs showed up to beat on protestors. There were no drugs at Tea Parties. There was no one crapping on the American flag at Tea Parties. The American flag was flown, not the Communist flag. At Tea Parties, people brought copies of the Bible, Constitution & Federalist Papers, not the Communist Manifesto.

At Tea Parties, underage girls do not get molested. We don’t harbor criminals. When police ask us to leave an area, no tear gas is needed. The Tea Party left The National Mall cleaner than we found it.

What I’m trying to say to you Occupukes is, you may think it’s cool to protest in the streets now. The media may be giving you a platform now. Many in the communities you stink up are tolerating you—for now. However, slowly but surely the majority of Americans will grow tired of you. The majority—once called the silent majority—of Americans do not want to see their streets and neighborhoods desecrated. The majority of Americans want law and order, not mayhem and murder in the streets. And it seems like you are already wearing out your welcome in many communities.

When I visited the 9/11 Memorial on October 4^th, 2011, I got to witness the filth at Zuccotti Park. I, like many, noticed the Occupukes carrying I-pads, phones, LL Bean gear, wearing Timberland boots—products all made by the very same corporations and so called “fat cats” in the “1%” you protest. Ivory Soap is made by a corporation too. So how’s about giving Procter & Gamble their due, go to a local drug store—also a corporation—buy a bar of soap and go occupy a shower.

And to my conservative American friends in the silent majority, now is not the time to let these leftist scum frame the debate. You need to educate those in your communities that this movement represents class warfare which is downright un-American. You need to make your voice heard to your local government and law enforcement and make it known that these protests will no longer be tolerated in your community.

This is an article that I wrote today to a journalist at the Los Angeles Times regarding Joe “the plagiarizer” McGinniss book about Sarah Palin. They published an article about it here. This wasn’t only meant for this particular writer. It was also intended for other mainstream “credible” news outlets like the Times and NY Daily News who felt the need to jump on the rumor wheel. Dear Mr. Ulin,

I read your article regarding Joe McGinniss and his upcoming book “Rouge” that is rife with salacious lies, innuendos and rumors. I have to say that the real story here isn't whether or not Sarah Palin snorted cocaine off an oil drum when she was in her 20's or if she had a romance with basket-baller Glen Rice while unmarried. All of which, I can assure you will never materialize and catch fire simply because—those who really know Sarah, the Heaths and Palins, know they're all lies. No, the real story is how many of you so called credible and reliable journalistic organizations ran with the story which is based on quotes from "friends" and "those close to the Palins", weak sources and such.

While you tried to remain objective in the article, you're ideology as a leftist or somewhat "third way" progressive came through as there are many flaws in your reporting. You used a quote from Zane Henning insinuating that Palin is a fake conservative because she doesn't perform acts of charity to the organization Henning prefers. You left out the fact that Gov. Palin has devoting her time and resources to the organization "Samaritan's Purse" as well as other charities for years.

You also forgot to mention that Joe McGinniss has been caught plagiarizing other writer's work many times in his career. Venerable editor and publisher Roger W. Straus, president of Farrar, Straus & Giroux, once said about McGinniss in 1993, ''Will the public accept it when an author says, 'I'm selling you this book as a bio, but I'm also telling you that I made up a lot of stuff myself"? I would think including this all important character flaw of McGinniss would be relevant when the author is clearly doing what Mr. Straus accused him of doing back then—making stuff up.

I’m shocked that you and so many other journalists from so called venerable newspaper organizations neglected to mention that New York Times veteran film and book critic Janet Maslin had panned this piece of trash in May. Maslin isn’t exactly what you would call a conservative standard bearer. She pointed out that McGinnis crudely prodded Glen Rice for information regarding he and Palin’s “sexual relationship”. All Rice admitted to was that he remembers Sarah Palin as “respectful” and a “sweetheart”.
And what about those affair rumors? In your article you claimed, “McGinniss talked to Rice for the book and he confirmed the relationship”. If you’re citing Joe McGinniss as a source for this information, then that’s quite sad and it’s proof as to what passes for journalism today. I mean, for the love of all that’s holy, you are taking the word of a man who—on one page of his book, paints Palin as a person who is leery of blacks and flatly, a racist—and then on the other as a woman who has “jungle fever”. The contradictions are glaring, wouldn’t you say?
Also, this is wrong because it was the National Enquirer who confirmed that Glen Rice admitted to this relationship. Even worse, if National Enquirer is taken seriously by “credible” news organizations as truth, then that’s a sad day for the mainstream news business. You may cite that Nat EQ broke the John Edwards story. True. However, a broken clock is right at least twice a day. And until Mr. Rice steps up and publically admits to this relationship, I and many others will not take it seriously. And even if it were to be true—which it’s not—so what? It was over 25 years ago and she was not bonded in matrimony.
Let me point to one final flaw in your article. You stated quite glibly that Palin “is narcissistic, undisciplined and unqualified for public life.”   1) every politician in America has a narcissistic streak in them, beginning with the one that’s currently occupying the White House. 2) be careful with the “she quit” argument. While I will not disclose to you how, it just may backfire on you. 3) She was and is qualified for public life as she’s spent 20 plus years as a public servant and executive.
I’ll leave you with one thing: Journalists like yourself and others—while taking seriously and giving attention to sensationalistic dreck such as this—are doing yourselves and your profession a grave disservice. It’s almost as if you’re burning down your own houses while you’re sitting in them.
By using supermarket checkout rags and lying opportunists like Joe McGinniss as credible sources, you are setting a dangerous precedent.   After all, if we were to believe this story about Sarah Palin, then we are free to believe those about Barack Obama, his family and past associations, right?   I guess now we can say that Obama is really gay, sold cocaine while “in college” in New York city, that his college days were funded by Muslims who are tied to terrorist organizations, should be charged with the murder of a Chicago reverend with who he was having a gay affair, got a blow job from Larry Sinclair while he smoked crack in the back of a limo 20 years ago, and that his mother in law Mother Robinson really does perform Santeria in the Rose Garden of the White House. And on and on!
Does that all seem fair to you?
But after taking the time out of my day to write this to you, I had to stop myself and say—what do you expect from the Los Angeles Times? After all, this is the newspaper who, during the 2008 election season, refused to release a damaging tape of Barack Obama and his wife Michelle attending a dinner for Palestinian historian Rashid Khalidi a man with known ties to Middle Eastern terrorism. Just what were you all hiding there?
The fact of the matter is, Sarah Palin is not going away and neither are the hordes of her supporters. So if you do not like the harassment that you get after writing this gobblely gook I kindly say—life’s a bitch, get a helmet.

I’m writing this in lieu of doing an audio podcast because I’m putting the finishing touches on a special 9/11/2011 show that will post on this site early Sunday morning. I think you’re going to like it, so stay tuned.

Yesterday, a Twitter follower of mine sent me an article and wanted to basically know what I thought of it. It was an article out of the Alaskan Dispatch titled, “Sarah Palin’s Right to Choose” by Amanda Coyne. The article was somewhat fair, however, you can detect there’s some bias and animus towards the former Governor within the article. How can you tell, you say? The obvious use of the word “quit.” Coyne should at least extend the respect to a former head of state and use the proper word “resign.”

But as I’ve said before, when you’re dealing with a liberal leaning press, Democrats and liberals resign. Republicans and conservatives quit.

Reading Coyne’s line regarding the Governor’s resignation got my juices flowing. Perhaps on that day back in 2009, when Governor Palin clearly explained the reasons for her resignation, was day one of her very unconventional campaign for the 2012 presidential race. Palin knew that the media would immediately begin circulating the innuendos as to why she “quit.” She would use this to her advantage. After all, it’s normal for traditional hack politician to quit amidst an affair or scandal of some sort and disappears to the private sector or consulting world. Or, they quit under the guise of--my favorite--"I have to go spend more time with my family." But there were no scandals and she didn’t disappear. In just three short years, Sarah Palin turned lemons into lemonade—as she’s done throughout her entire career—and now stands at the precipice of one of the most defining moments in her entire life.

There are many in the media that still don’t get it. It doesn’t surprise me. Have you seen what’s coming out of America’s J-schools these days? Face it, most of the people in the media are clueless. Those who have been following Palin, who know her record and some crucial details about her life—and I’m proud to be one of them—we know, there is something about Sarah Palin.

There are some politicians and leaders who have it. Some don’t. It’s like any talent that God blesses you with when you’re released from the plasma sack—musical talent, athletic prowess, mathematical abilities, etc—she’s got it. Reagan had it. Whether it was his confident and sunny role as the “happy warrior” or his ability to make Americans believe in their country and themselves—he had it. Although, he frustrated many on the left who didn’t know what the “it” was. Yes, Bill Clinton may have been a borderline sociopath, however, he had it as well. Whether it was his ability to make a person feel like they were the most important people on the planet when he was talking to them or how he loved working a room—he drove people on the right crazy because they didn’t get what “it” was.

For Sarah Palin, the “it” is many things. Take her exterior beauty. You may say, “hey, that’s just superficial.” Possibly, but let’s be real: Americans don’t elect unattractive people, especially in this day and age. It’s just the way that it goes.

Palin has a unique ability to connect with the average voter in America. We’ve seen this on display from the moment her bus tour kicked off in Washington, DC and all the way to the Iowa state fair on August 12^th and beyond. Last week, while speaking to the Tea Party Express crowd in New Hampshire, Palin mentioned the local fisherman she met when her bus tour rolled into the state last May. That week, I recall reading about how these same fisherman told the press about their meeting with the former vice presidential candidate. They said she understood the constant oppressive governmental regulations that plagued their fishing businesses. Frankly, this was a stroke of political genius. Palin sent these people a message saying, “I didn't forget you.” Average folks love that. They want to know that you’re not plastic. They want to know that you’re not a slot machine of empty promises. It’s also a technique that will compel people to hit the pavement and walk districts for you. If you do not show that you genuinely care, the people won’t care about you either.

There’s Sarah Palin’s ability to think like a campaign manager. Many who know Palin will tell you she possess this quality. It’s a good trait to have because many times in life, you need to rely on your own instincts and not others. A few years of working in the entertainment industry has taught me that some politicians are a lot like movie stars. Many of them NEED agents, managers and handlers. If an artist or a star could handle their own business affairs, the managers and agents would be out of business. But they can’t. And if you take a good look at the current crop of 2012 GOP candidates, it’s evident they can’t either. And if you take a look at the Sarah Palin we saw in 2008 and compare it to the Sarah Palin of 2011, you’ll see there’s a big difference. This is because the bunglers in the John McCain campaign didn’t allow Palin to be herself. Palin also aligned herself with the Tea Party very early on in 2009. She was Tea Party before Tea Party was cool! This was both authentic and cunning. Authentic because, throughout her 20 + year career as an executive, she has been leery of excessive government, pro- economic growth, anti-corruption and pro low taxation. Cunning because at the time of it's inception, many did not know if the Tea Party was going to sink or sail. She took a chance with her political capital by backing it. With her help, the Tea Party conservative message sailed.

I disagree with Coyne when she claims that Alaskans have a negative view of Sarah Palin. Perhaps, she’s talking about the Alaskan polls that claim this. But as the former Governor said in Iowa, “Polls are for strippers and cross country skiers.” I’ve seen some of these polls. They survey 700 people out of 700,000 who reside in Alaska. These are the same type of polls that survey, nationally, 1500 people out of the 50 million who intend to vote in 2012. Are these polls representative of an entire electorate? I don’t think so.

Coyne also sights Ann Coulter and Erick Erickson as former supporters of Sarah Palin. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. You can hear my comments about both of them here. Yes, perhaps these pundits shown support of Palin in 2008. However, we know their motives for doing so. They were only supporting her because of John McCain. He was the Republican nominee and they were being told by the GOP establishment that helping and supporting Palin would help McCain and possibly win the election. Palin's true supporters know they have nothing in common with types like Erick Erickson, Laura Ingraham or Ann Coulter.

I agree with Coyne on the following: Judging the current crop of candidates, there’s plenty of room for Sarah Palin. While the weak sisters who formerly supported Sarah and have now joined Turncoats for _______ because they cannot handle waiting this long, I commend Sarah Palin for waiting this long. The old saying goes, “haste makes waste.” Why get into it this early? Let others implode, self-destruct and fizzle out and then make your move.

I’ve said this so many times that I feel like a busted turntable. Ronald Reagan waited until November 17^th 1979 to declare his candidacy. Prior to his declaration, he did not take part in ANY straw polls or debates. Bill Clinton waited until October, 3^rd 1991 to declare. In 1999, John McCain declared in October. Of that year, George W Bush declared in June, but didn’t debate until December. All those politicians mentioned were running against incumbents.

As Coyne points out, “while deadlines for declaration have not yet been set by all of the individual states, they have been for some of the first contests. For example: in New Hampshire, the first Republican primary, Palin would need to declare her candidacy there by mid-October. Take New Hampshire out of the equation and Palin could theoretically wait even longer. In fact, she doesn't even have to be an official candidate to partake in the Iowa caucuses.” Further the deadline for Florida and South Carolina are October 31^st and November 1^st. Reagan declared after these dates and still won in the primaries by a landslide.

There is one part of Coyne’s article that I wholeheartedly agree. It’s found on third page and begins on the fifth paragraph. This IS Sarah Palin’s time. It would make no sense on her part to not even try for the gold in 2012. If she runs and fails to win the nomination, she could still be viable in 2016. But sitting 2012 out could be the death of her political capital. Remember, there’s no harm in trying. If she tried to do this now and, sadly, failed many of her supporters would rally behind her in 2016. Especially, if a Mitt Romney or a Rick Perry should win the nomination and lose to Obama. She would also be viable in 2016 if a Perry or Romney should defeat Obama and then alienate Tea Party conservatives and govern like a liberal Republican once they win the White House.

But again, there’s no harm in trying. And I do not know if that grassroots support would be there if she decided to forsake a run for the White House this year.

Many of you know me as a I’m a proud Palin supporter. I’ve studied her record and some of the details of her life. I do not believe she’ll be sitting this one out. Throughout her career, she has proved herself as someone who would not squander opportunity. She is not one to allow open doors to close on her. She’s seized many opportunities—personally, professionally and politically—in her life that paid off.

While I do not have ANY inside track on Palin’s team or ANY access to the former Governor and those who know her best—it would be very un-Palin of her to not go for it.

In my opinion, she’s running.

Hollywood Hates Sarah Palin But Loves Erin Brockovich? Go Figure!

As you know, I got the opportunity to screen the new Sarah Palin documentary “The Undefeated” by Steve Bannon at Magno Studio in New York City on June 22, 2011. If you have not heard my full review of the movie you can see it underneath this post.

Bannon attended the screening and was gracious enough to open the floor to questions and comments from the crowd. I want to stress in print what I told him: the documentary was superb and on par, if not better, than the documentary he made about Ronald Reagan titled “In the Face of Evil.” I thanked him for showcasing Sarah Palin as a human and not an object or a myth that the media has created. Seeing Palin’s entire life and career laid out in front of me, I realized that her talents, tenacity and ability to get things done would have been marginalized if she became Vice President Palin. Bannon agreed saying that was a good way of looking at it all. He stated, divine intervention possibly played a hand in the election of 2008. In short, everything happens for a reason.

Two days later, I recalled something else Bannon had stated. Bannon screened the documentary to Hollywood executives—mostly left wingers—who were impressed with the film and the story of Sarah. They also seemed excited about the commercial potential of the film.

Hollywood execs may be left wingers—but they also like making money. Many of them are capitalists before they are progressive ideologues.

That got me thinking. Of course Hollywood would like “The Undefeated.” Throughout Hollywood history, studios made films with themes and characters very similar to the likes of Gov. Sarah Palin. Stories and characters who were whistleblowers, up against insurmountable odds, taking on the establishment, a colossal corporation, or corruption.

One such movie comes to my mind: Erin Brockovich. The film hit theaters in 2000, starred Julia Roberts as Brockovich and directed by Steven Soderbergh, who later went on to direct “Traffic” and the remake of “Ocean’s Eleven.” It was a tremendous success both critically and commercially. The film grossed over $200 million worldwide and was nominated for five Academy Awards including Best Picture, Director, Supporting Actor Best Original Screenplay. Roberts won Best Actress, the only Academy Award the film received.

If you haven’t seen the film, it’s basically a small town girl does good story. Brockovich, a down on her luck single mother with no prior serious work experience, applies for a paralegal job at a small law firm. While there, she uncovers a case involving an energy company who are polluting the water and causing neighboring residents of the company’s plant to get cancer.

There have been some inconsistencies investigated about the validity of Brockovich’s claim that I really do not want to get into in this blog. Newsbusters.org did investigative reporting on the matter. It’s quite interesting, you can read it here:

I’d rather stay on track with the characters and themes of the film and contrast them with Sarah Palin. You could literally substitute Sarah, with a few minor alterations made for detail, in for the story of Erin.

Palin spoke about Harry Truman at her RNC speech in 2008 quoting an author who once wrote, “We grow good people in our small towns, with honesty and sincerity and dignity.”

Yes, we do.

Erin came from a small town in the southwest as Sarah came from a small town in Alaska. Both women are strikingly beautiful, although Sarah did not dress as provocatively as Erin once did. Erin was the homecoming Queen of her small town. Sarah won her title as Miss Wasilla in a local beauty pageant.

Erin and Sarah, were both underestimated, and for whatever reason—good looks, the way they communicate. Sarah speaks in a colloquial fashion and Erin a more jocular jargon laden with profanity. It still seems for women in this country that, in order to be taken seriously, they have to look and speak like Janet Reno, Hillary Clinton and Janet Napolitano. You know, don’t be strong a but feminine woman—just become a man.

Sarah and Erin, when faced with adversity, went on to do bigger and better things. They both succeeded. Erin, as portrayed in the film about her life, was over a barrel financially with two kids in toe. She faced that adversity head on and investigated a corporate corruption case which delivered a windfall payout to the residents/victims she fought for and she receives a hefty commission in the end.

Sarah Palin as Oil and Gas Commissioner of Alaska, with five kids in toe, recognized the and confronted the corruption of the commission, Big Oil, and the state Republican party and Democrat party. She took on both the party bosses and the lawyer-ed up executives of Big Oil. And she launched her campaign for the Governor’s mansion after this resignation and won.

In one of the most telling moments of “The Undefeated,” Palin’s voice over explains what it’s like to go up against Big Oil. She said ( I can’t recall verbatim), “these executives also do business in hostile countries in South America where they can intimidate an oil CEO with a machete or AK-47. So, you could imagine what they thought of politicians in America. All they had to do was get a few of Alaskan politicians liquored up, and these politicians would happily sing their tune.

Thank God Sarah isn’t a drinker! She took them all on and she won. She got AGIA and ACES passed. It was a success that took thirty years to accomplish. No Governor, until she came along, could pass this legislation for Alaska. It was a success, not only for her, but for the citizens she served.

As Sarah explains the political credo she lives by that, “in politics, you either sleep well or eat well.” Sarah preferred to sleep well. There wasn’t a windfall profit waiting for Sarah as it was for Erin in the movies. When Sarah returned from the failed McCain campaign of 2008, she faced gridlock and multiple, frivolous ethics complaints filed against her. She was exonerated on all charges, but these charges put her in the poor house via legal fees and forced her to resign from office.

Any Obama supporter reading this who wants to call her a quitter, please go count all of the FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request that Obama has on his administration and know that only the office that he holds, the most powerful in the world, keeps him cooperating.

Sarah managed to turn lemons into lemonade by writing best-selling books and speaking on behalf of conservatives across the country. This makes you wonder why the Hollywood left is so venomous towards Sarah Palin. For years, they’ve been making mega profits for decades documenting the American populist story, HER STORY, i.e.: “small town girl/guy makes good” and “working class stiff vs. corruption.”

Funny thing about these two women: Erin ended up praising Sarah when she was picked as McCain’s VP in 2008. Erin lost much of her Hollywood street cred earned in 2000 for doing so. As for Sarah, between the reality show of last year, the books, bus tour and the looming bid for the presidency, the media and Hollywood are just getting to know her.

Thanks to Steve Bannon.

After thinking about these similar stories of these two women, it’s clear that Erin Brockovich’s story ended in movie theaters.

On July 15th, the real story of Sarah Palin, begins and does not end there.

John Ziegler: The Man With No Home

Last night I read filmmaker John Ziegler’s scathing article on Sarah Palin featured on the Daily Caller titled “The Sarah Palin I Know.” The fact that it was featured on the Daily Caller is no shock. The site is run by Tucker “bowtie” Carlson. The site is not generally pro-Palin. Carlson is proud Rockefeller Republican who used to be the token conservative voice over at More Socialist Nonsense By Commies (MSNBC). He would still be on MSNBC if they paid him the money that he was asking. They didn’t, so now they have Joe Scarborough.

I have two theories as to why John Ziegler would all of a sudden do a complete about face from defending Sarah Palin from as early as April of this year only to transform into her most ardent critic. Since Ziegler is chock full of salacious accusations against Palin’s character, allow me to make two against his.

Two words: “The Undefeated.” Ziegler takes a cheap shot at the prospects of this documentary making political headwind for Palin in the coming months. His comments reek of jealously. One would have to believe that Ziegler’s name was being thrown around as a potential director/producer for this project. He was rejected and the Palin’s went with Steven Bannon.

It was a good move on the part of the Palin’s to go with Bannon. Bannon, a former Wall Street investor, had the stones and the resources to raise a million dollars to produce it something that Ziegler—obviously from listening to his bellyaching about not being able to find work—couldn’t do. Bannon also had a clear, cogent vision. If anyone hasn’t watched his documentary on Ronald Reagan vs. Communism titled “In the Face of Evil: Reagan’s War in Word and Deed” you will come to understand that Bannon isn’t just a documentary filmmaker. He’s an artist.

So one could believe that this flare up from Ziegler is because he feels the Palin’s jilted him and whatever other irrational fantasy he may have about loyalties they should have had to him. "The Undefeated" is getting rave reviews from those on the left and the right who screened it. Personally, I believe the film is going to blow up in popularity. It’s a stroke of marketing genius if you ask me. The film will be released in July and the Palin buzz will start up all over again. If she does decide to run the movie will most likely be released on DVD right around the Christmas season—the same time of the Iowa primaries. Buzz, buzz…

It’s my opinion that Ziegler felt that he was entitled to direct this film, and when they decided to go with another filmmaker, he saw his ship about to come in only to have it pulled back out to sea without him.

Claim: “At this point, Sarah and I had met only once, but we were already developing a bizarre relationship.”

The second theory is there is a slight possibility that Ziegler is probably but one in a long line of men that Palin has encountered in her life. It could be that Ziegler has a hidden crush on the former Governor. “Bizarre relationship?” How so? How do you meet someone a few times over the past three years and call that a relationship? And to use that word--"relationship." "Friendship" would be more accurate.

“Over the almost three years that followed, we would often act like friends—while at other times she would act like she barely knew me.”

This is an unsupported claim and I like to know if Ziegler intends to prove it.

“I’ve fought so hard for Sarah, I’m almost unemployable.”

Yes, Ziegler has been defending Palin in the media since making a documentary about the way the media handled her and gave preferential treatment to Barack Obama. First, he was never asked by the Palins or anyone in her camp to be her attack dog. Ziegler volunteered his services at free will. He’s a self-described libertarian, therefore, he should be familiar with the concept of free will.

Like all of us who believe in Sarah Palin and feel passionate about her, many of us are not looking for anything in return. I do not write my blog or comment on my show about her because I have an irrational expectation there will someday be a payday. Nor do I believe that my support or defense will get me personal acknowledgement from her. And I certainly would not allow my support for her effect my livelihood.

Did it ever occur to Ziegler that perhaps Sarah Palin isn’t the reason he cannot get work in Hollywood? Has it ever occurred to him that perhaps he’s not the best filmmaker to ever come down the pike? Further, perhaps it was his zealotry and attack dog mentality against the media and the left ie: staging protests, getting handcuffed, pissing Barbra Walters off to the extent that she waved her crooked, old finger in his face on national TV.

Let’s point out the obvious here—the title of his documentary. “Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and How the Media Targeted Palin.” Ziegler’s movie obviously targets the entire media cabal from the newsrooms to studio lots of Burbank. He HAD to have known, minus the zealot behavior, he would become a target of the media for shining the light on the cockroaches hiding in the kitchen cabinets.

I find it hypocritical that Ziegler now attacks the same woman who was instrumental in putting him the national stage. I think Ziegler’s documentary is a fine one and it should be shown in every elementary school history class and studied in the halls of every journalism department at colleges all over the nation. However, if the film didn’t center around Palin and feature an interview with her—which I recall was the only interview that Palin did after the election—we would all be still going “John who?” Which is why I have such a problem with his latest screed. As recent as April 2011, Ziegler wrote a piece for the Daily Caller regarding the E! True Hollywood Story on Palin. After reading that and comparing it to “The Sarah I Know” diatribe one would agree both are night and day.

So if Ziegler is worried about going broke and not getting work before he wrote this article, not much will change for him. You ever hear the old saying “you can never go home again?” Well, John Ziegler is a man with no home. Conservatives and those who support Palin will now turn their back on him. Sadly, I think he believes that by writing this article he will now be embraced by the left. My guess is that they’ll probably embrace him temporarily. The left will use Ziegler to their benefit much like they did with Cindy Sheehan. Then, when they get tired of guzzling down his bullshit, they’ll toss him over their shoulders like an empty beer can.

There’s also the character deficit thingy. I would suspect that Ziegler’s attempt at damaging Palin’s reputation with insider information that he was not willing to share for three years and then, for some crazy reason, unloads private correspondence between the Palin and Co. makes you wonder. Ask yourself, would you want to deal with a person like John Ziegler if, God forbid, you do not live up to his expectations or further enhance his life and career?

Ziegler’s sudden candor and recollection of the “Palin He Knows” has incredibly bad timing. If the filmmaker and media critic wasn’t paying attention, some 24,000 pages of emails were released showing the Sarah Palin that we knew all along—an effective conservative Republican Governor of Alaska, adroit in pushing her agenda for the betterment of the state, and one hell of a boss that anyone would want to work under.

Since 24,000 emails were produced by the media in the attempt to show how “stupid, idiot, evil” she is, perhaps another two or three won’t hurt. For example, Ziegler claims Palin had playfully snubbed him in an email to her staffers when she wasn’t aware of cc’d him in the email. He also recalls a conversation he had with Rebecca Mansour who is Palin’s speechwriter. If Mansour wishes to step forward call out his lies, that’s her business. All I will say is, again, publish these emails if you got them. A few more about Palin isn’t going to hurt her or anyone.

The fact that he’s now calling her a “quitter” and has no chance at beating Obama because “the media will not let her” is repulsive. Again, when Republicans resign it’s “quitting”. When Democrats do it, they “resign”, “step down” or, my personal favorite, “I have to go spend more time with my family.” Ziegler resorts to the typical left wing talking points on her resignation rather than feature the inconvenient fact as to why she really did it. The fact of the matter is, Palin passed the ethics laws that drove her out of office. When every gadfly came out of the tundra to file bogus ethics complaints against her—ALL OF WHICH SHE WAS EXONERATED—this would cost her money to fight in court. And unlike other state's ethics laws, Alaska does not reimburse the accused for any legal fees they might incur fighting them off. Ziegler has the nerve to talk of Palin's courage, where is his? I doubt such a man with such a character deficit who would sell out those who trusted him and his "me me" attitude would snap under the adversity that Palin has faced.

But back to Ziegler’s comments regarding Palin’s chances of beating Obama if she decided to jump into the race. In his article, Ziegler claims that after the interview he did with Palin for Media Malpractice, he made a comment directly to her and in front of her family and his film crew. He writes:

“Before I left, I felt I had to give the governor at least one piece of advice. After all, I know how politicians work. They surround themselves with yes-people. No one dares speak up. I figured I’d never get another opportunity like this again, so, with the very best of intentions, I told her: “You have to know, you can’t beat Obama in 2012. The media won’t let you. They won’t let him lose and the narrative about you is too negative to correct in three-and-a-half years. “She said nothing. No-one else spoke, either. I looked around at my crew, and the same thing was written on everyone’s face: “What the hell are you doing, Ziegler?””

Good question and I will second it: what the hell were you doing, Ziegler? Sarah Palin does the interview after, as he claims, being advised not to do it. Ziegler confesses that having her in the documentary was very important and Palin’s intervention and going against her staff’s advice (she should’ve taken it by the way) and saved his movie. So, she invites him into her home, takes the time to do the interview and then he unloads a ridiculous comment like that? This speaks volumes about his character deficit and it would also show that Palin and her camp had every reason to be standoffish with Ziegler from that moment on.

There are other comments that continue to be unsubstantial, borderline insane and sexist. Ziegler “goes there” and stoops to the low of making the observation that without make-up on, Palin is “difficult to recognize.” He refers to a “phone call” he had with Todd Palin where the first Dude jokingly admits to being a “kept man”. Sorry Ziegler, Todd has an actual job unlike yourself. If he didn’t, he sure wouldn’t be bellyaching about it like you do. Also, you’ve made several references to the idea that Todd is a guy who “looks like he could kick your ass.” Yeah, might want to be worried after this recent article.

“It is a myth that “Palin 2.0” energizes the base in any extraordinary way. I know this from sales and traffic figures, and because while screening my film around the country I was essentially doing Sarah Palin focus groups—“

“Palin focus groups?” Seriously man, you need to seek professional help.

“the only opportunity she would have to get a second look is to do high-profile interviews with liberal media types and, against my counsel, she has indicated she has no intention of doing that.”

Right. After you did a two hour documentary highlighting every reason why people like Chris Matthews, Katie Couric and others in the media shouldn’t be taken seriously, are nakedly biased and should not be trusted, you now think it would be in Palin’s best interest to grant them interviews? In many polls, which remain fluid at such an early stage in the game, Palin is either in a dead heat or a few points behind Romney—and she hasn’t even formally declared her candidacy. Thank God she never took your “counsel.” Following your counsel would be the equivalent to drinking a hemlock.

Then he’s crying about the Palin camp not being able to get him tickets to the Tonight Show on a day when Sarah was scheduled to appear. Boo-hoo. I mean, sheeesh, at best this guy sounds like a chronic complainer. At worst, a stalker. He even admits that he contacted the Palin’s telling them it would be best if they parted ways. What a shock—they obliged.

More comments: “All of which has left me wondering why she appears to be disregarding the advice of me and others as she seems ready to embark on this politically suicidal campaign.”

Yes, doing a bus tour of most of the 50 states, visiting key states and building momentum with a film about her life which will get worldwide distribution and may launch “Sarah 2.0” is political suicide. As opposed to the politically suicidal candidate who she trails by a few points who declares that global warming is still a threat to the planet? Or as opposed to a seventy something hack Congressman who defends the legalization of Heroin, has been endorsed by a Michigan Muslim newspaper and who still doesn’t get it that his political career is over and should get off the stage?!

Lastly, this comment is rich: “There is the issue of how she greatly (thanks largely to being an attractive and successful mother of five who is still in love with her husband who makes women like Joy Behar feel bad about themselves) exacerbates the gender gap, which is the Republican Achilles heel in presidential races.”

Do me a favor, go to Newsbusters.org and put in the search “Sarah Palin Joy Behar” and read some of the nasty, dirty things Behar has said about Palin, her family, etc. and then you tell me if she should care about the idea that she makes women like these feel bad about themselves.

The writer explains something that people like John Ziegler simply cannot comprehend—why conservatives identify with a person like Sarah Palin. It also explains when geldings in the media and the backstabbing phonies like Ziegler take pot shots at Palin, those pot shots are directed at us. We feel them because when liberal media types laugh at Palin, they’re also laughing at us. For conservatives and middle America, her values, views are ours. Palin, with pitch perfect political ear, is our voice.

One more thing, if Ziegler’s piece of crap got the Palin supporters down just know this: Reagan’s folksy demeanor was laughed off by the media. His whacky assed daughter Patti and her shenanigans never stuck to him. His often brash style in dealing with the media and protestors on the left were thought to be damaging to his chances at the presidency in 1980. George W. Bush got elected and then re-elected even though he admitted to a DWI and Dan Rather tried—but failed miserably—to prove that the former president didn’t serve in the National Guard.

What I’m trying to say is, whether Ziegler’s unsubstantial accusations, defeatist attitude and insanity laden scribe may be true or false, a lot can happen in 16 months. In the end, this does not matter.

The Definition of Insanity

The old saying goes: The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again only to get the same result.

That old saying could be applied to the Republican Party. I am a conservative but a registered republican ever since I became of legal age. I have never supported, voted for, nor would I even consider becoming a Democrat.

With the 2012 election already being speculated on, I am beginning to see hints that the GOP may be repeating the same insane things when it comes to national elections—backing and nominating the wrong person to run against the Democrat.

John McCain, who had a history of non partisan “reach across the aisle” politics, was supposed be the candidate who would appeal to these voters. Yet in 2008, it wasn’t the Black or Hispanic voter who carried Obama to finish line. It was the independent, white voter.   They are partly responsible for placing this country in the danger that it is in now.   Many of them voted because they had Bush hatred. Even though they voted for conservative and Republican politicians in droves in 2010, some polling suggests they may want to give Obama another chance in 2012. As I and other good conservatives stated time and again, that is a disastrous prospect.

Now let me give you two scenarios which would drive me to leave the GOP--perhaps temporarily--and become a registered independent with conservative leanings.

Scenario 1:
Let’s say, John McCain did decide to run for president again. I know this idea may be a both rightening and absurd, but crazier things have happened.   Ole middle of the road McCain hasn’t really shot down the idea of running again in 2012 when asked by the press. What’s even more frightening is the surefire possibility that the GOP would back him over the other potential candidates.   If this nightmare scenario should ever become a reality I will—the day after McCain accepts the nomination—march right down to my local Board of Elections and switch my party affiliation to independent.

Scenario 2:
Let’s say the GOP nominates someone who’s moderate like McCain, ie: Huckabee, Pawlenty, Jon Huntsman or basically, a bore, I would not be able to support that candidate or defend his shortcomings. However, when it came time to place my vote, I would have to vote for any of these candidates because, when it comes down to the Devil I know—Obama—I’d gladly vote for the Devil I don’t know and would do so with a clear conscience. Now say this milquetoast Republican ran against Obama and did everything imaginable to sabotage himself, who would not challenge Obama on character flaws, call out Obama’s lies and allows some sort of October surprise to be exposed ruining his candidacy and then loses?   Then I will march right down to that local BOE office and register as an independent.

It’s very certain that the second scenario could play out in 2012. With all due respect, the GOP has a rather hoary tradition when it comes to candidates they support.   Meaning, the GOP has a history of backing NOT the right candidate, but the candidate that was the next in line. In 2000, McCain ran and lost to George W. Bush. Was McCain really the right candidate in 2008? No. At that time, Romney was. Yet, it didn’t matter. McCain was next in line.

For the GOP in 2012, it’s evident that Mitt Romney is that man who is next in line.   In my opinion, this will be a mistake if he were selected to challenge Obama. Here’s why.   You may recall in late 2007, John McCain was on the ropes. In fact, the press drummed up the narrative that he was finished. You may remember the media footage of a broken down gasbag named Sen. John McCain wandering around a random airport, carrying his own luggage to head back to Arizona after tiresome campaigning.   Then what happened? The Obama team and the leftist media revived McCain’s campaign. I think that I read this in a book by David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager, who revealed the Obama camp wanted McCain because ole' get along go along John was the easiest for them to beat. They were right. That was until the monkey wrench known as Gov. Sarah Palin was thrown into the equation and roused conservatives for McCain. And she almost got him over the finish line.

For 2012 as in 2008, Obama and Axelrod are most likely salivating over the good chance that Romney will be the front runner. The reason for this follows Obama & Co’s modus operandi.   Obama’s strategy with Romney—as it was for Hillary Clinton and McCain—is to adopt the same platform as his opponent. In other words, take the same position as your opponent on any issue and communicate it more gracefully to the people.   An example of this would be the joint statement McCain and Obama issued on the economic crisis. Also, he also took most of Hillary’s position points and glossed over and re-presented them almost verbatim.

I’ve been hearing pundits on the right, people like George Will, who are complaining that the potential GOP nominee should only go after Obama on the issues. Just today I received an email from Dick Morris who’s promoting his new book Revolt. The headline of the email was How To Defeat Obama and a bullet point in the email was Don’t attack Obama personally. Just debate him on the issues.

With all due respect to these political thinkers, they’re wrong. Obama’s strategy is to adopt the same platform as his opponent, make it more about personality, less about issues and substance and grand ideas about “winning the future”. In 2008, of course, the grand idea was “hope and change”.   It's 2011--hope has changed to despair.

It’s already happening and it’s coming from either Obama or the media. Just last week at a Governor’s conference, Obama praised Romney’s health care bill that he signed into law in Massachusetts.   RomneyCare is seen by most of the American public as the prototype for ObamaCare. We know that a majority of Americans want this law repealed. Having Romney as the GOP nominee, Obama would virtually neutralize the issue of Obamacare and it's repeal.

As far as the media goes, even those on Fox are already assisting Obama in winning a re-election. Conservative talk show host Laura Ingraham had on NY Times token conservative columnist (he's about as conservative as Obama is Irish) David Brooks on her show this past week. At the end of the clip, Brooks—a liberal and Obama media sycophant—is asked by Ingraham who he thinks should be the GOP nominee. Without a beat, Brooks declares: Romney is first choice, Pawlenty as second. In short, it’s beginning to look a lot like 2008 all over again.

In order to beat Obama in 2012, the Republican party needs to back a candidate that is diametrically opposed to the president on the issues AND a candidate who could beat him on a personal level. Also, this candidate must have national notoriety, strong ability to fund raise and must embrace— not distance themselves from—the tea party movement.

The only two candidates who represent all of the above are Sarah Palin and possibly Michele Bachmann.   First the obvious: both are women. No doubt Obama will be running his re-election campaign on the possibilities of creating history all over again. The media will be pushing the gimmick that America’s first black president should be re-elected because—you guessed it—it’s historic! Translation: more white guilt laid upon on an already race-weary American public.

This gimmick would be neutralized because, by running any of these two women, the counter argument for the republicans would be that Obama is, in fact, standing in the way of another historic moment—the first female president of the United States.

Both women, especially Palin, are the polar opposite of Obama when it comes to almost all of the major issues. Take Obamacare for example. Both women have gone nuclear and demonstrated their opposition publicly. Palin was the first to call the “death panels” for what they were in 2009. Recently, Bachmann has gone public with the information that 105 billion taxpayer dollars were sneakily placed into the 2,000+ page Obamacare bill in order for it to be funded and implemented.

Both women have guts. Palin took on corrupt members within her own party in Alaska and sent many of them to jail. Bachmann faced down the Nancy Pelosi machine and won. Pelosi declared war on Bachmann and sank millions of DNC money trying to get her out seated in 2010. Palin endured numerous attacks—many of them lies created by the left or frivolous ethics complaints all of which she has been exonerated— still she stands.

Make no mistake, I’m not insinuating that if either Palin or Bachmann run for president and do not win the nomination that I will not vote for the selected GOP nominee. That would be absurd. There is a very high probability that factors such as a poor economy, gas prices, scandal, unrest in the middle east or threats from other countries, could mean that any potential GOP candidate would be able to win. Then again, things may turn around and with good spin from the campaigner and thief may make the road to 2012 a tough battle.

In any case, regarding my two horrifying scenarios which may produce another four years of Obama rule—which most believe would mean kissing the country goodbye—I would be compelled to change party affiliation to independent. This wouldn’t be done out of spite, but out of frustration. Because when it comes to national elections, the Republican Party continues to repeat the same mistakes over and over again and, insanely, ignores it’s base of social and fiscal conservatives.

In many ways, the GOP is like a drug addict in your family who simply refuses to hit rock bottom and I’m frankly sick and tired of either enabling—via donations or volunteer support—or telling him that he has a problem and should possibly seek treatment. It’s just not for me anymore.

I do not intend to become the typical independent and talk down to the average republican or conservative who happens to be a republican, because they are not the problem. I would change affiliation to send the powers that be in the republican party a message that enough is enough.   No more milquetoast candidates, no more ignoring your base and just get your act together because I’m sick of it.

Then again, they may have already realized the danger the country is in, know that another slip up and betrayal of the public’s trust will render them extinct and will act on the opportunity to make good on past mistakes and take the country back.
